Is there a Smiting Prayer Foci? - Guild Wars Forums

I have just rolled up a new Monk and I am trying to find a Foci that requires Smiting Prayer. I have not been able to find one. Are there any out there?

By Foci I assume you mean a Focus Item? If so, I think I've seen the ones you're looking for. I don't really pay attention to focus items though, I just sell them.

There are smiting prayer focus items, there are focus items for everysingle spell-using (E, N, Mo, Me) attribute, even for soul reaping, which has no skills.

Thank you for your responses, I just rolled up my first monk and this is the first time that I have ever cared to notice Foci. Is there a Max Energy Collectors Focus item requiring Smiting Prayer?

your batting average today is not so hot lol ...

okay for your monk let me explain what has wands and focus items ... currently not all items have both ...

Wands/Rods
------------
Holy Rod (req divine favor)
Smiting Rod (req smiting)

thats it for 1 handed

Focus items
------------
Healing Ankh (req healing prayers)
Protective Icon (req Protection Prayer)
Divine Symbol (req divine favour)

thats it ... no smiting ankhs of godly uber 1337 yet sorry

Meh, so I was wrong, but have you confirmed no Smiting Focus items?

Edit: Most monks have more than smiting as an attribute, so you can just use a different focus item if your major is smiting.

P.S. If you are a smiting monk, prepare to be flamed by UBER PLAYERS, who don't listen when you say you are a smiting monk, and demand to be healed.

lol ... most smiting monks use either healing secondary (weaker) ... or protection prayers focus item <<<<< very good combo ... and yes I can confirm it ... in fact you already have ... *go to the collectors and read it lol*
also it may very well have a 0.0056% chance of a smiting focus item ... I just have never seen one in my 6 toons, nor has my bro, nor has our guild leader or our other officers ... hmmmm ... and we actually do every pve mission/quest ... strange

this is correct about uber players lol ... you will deal with that ... because people that cannot read the map, cannot read the calls, cannot listen to the teamates telling them... WILL likely be the first to die. and then blame the monk ... shet happens ... lol ... we deal with it anyways

There are two smiting foci. One is the Dissea icon, available in seared Ascalon right outside of Ascalon City. It's a +6 energy thing with some minor stat.

The other is a preorder item, the Censor's Icon. It's decent but unspectacular, but what other options do you have?

Thank you all, I had read through all 14 pages of the collectors, but was hoping that some where there would have been one. and I know the flames are high... I really don't care though. As a monk I am extremely picky about what groups I select. I run into too many stupid people that don't know how to think or listen to run healer monk for too many people. I mainly run mass smite for soloing. Protective is my seconary of choice at least right now.

PS - Stumpy thanks for the info. I could not find it...

np ... ensign thanks for that info i was unaware of it. I got the darn ithas bow. same with my bro ... same with my 2 other friends and our guild leader.

I tend to use smiting/prot too ... I also can use blood as a backup in my build so there is a 20/20 items for me. But I like spamming reversal to instigate the zealots fire.
